Riverside Gymnastics Covid-19 Policy Update (08/05/2021)

Hello Riverside Families,

Due to the increase in COVID cases, the board and staff at Riverside wanted to communicate some changes we will begin on Monday August 9th. We will be requiring parents and gymnasts (over the age of 5) wear a face covering when entering and exiting the building, in all common areas, and while standing in line. While doing vigorous exercises that would make the wearing of a face mask unsafe, the gymnast will be allowed to lower their mask. Please provide your own face covering.

We will continue to follow strict sanitation guidelines, maintain social distance, comply with government regulations, and practice common sense while working hard to keep a friendly environment.

We ask that you not bring your child to gymnastics if they are sick or have been sick within the last 48 hours.

Thank you for your support and involvement in Riverside. We appreciate all of you.

Riverside Staff and Board

Riverside Gymnastics has been open and keeping our gymnasts safe during the Covid-19 crisis since May 2020.

We are following strict sanitation guidelines, maintaining social distance among students and teachers, complying with government regulations, and practicing common sense while working hard to keep a friendly environment.

At this time, we are unable to have a viewing area or allow family members to remain in the hallway throughout classes. But if you need to come in and use the restroom, buy a leotard/shorts, or talk to someone in the office, feel free to do so!

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during these unusual times. Our focus remains the same – offering a friendly and encouraging environment for children to learn and grow through the incredible sport of gymnastics.

If your child is sick …

If your child has one of the following:

  • shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • a cough
  • fever (100.4 or higher)

Please do not bring them to the gym.

If your child has two or more of the following:

  • chills
  • repeated shaking with chills
  • muscle pain (unrelated to work outs)
  • headache (with unknown cause)
  • sore throat (unrelated to allergies)
  • new loss of taste or smell

Please do not bring them to the gym.

If your child is waiting for the results of a Covid-19 test:

Please do not bring them to the gym.

If your child’s family member (an immediate household member) is sick:

If they have any of the above symptoms (not arising from a known illness or condition), are taking a Covid-19 test, or have a positive Covid-19 test, please contact the office to discuss the situation.

Sanitation Protocols

Our floaters clean equipment and mats after every class and disinfect bathrooms frequently. We use high-quality disinfecting products as well as Purify-One‘s UV wands. Please contact the gym if you would like more details about our safety protocols and cleaning schedule.
