Riverside Gymnastics has a USAG competitive team for the Developmental program levels 2-10, and Xcel levels Gold and Platinum. Our competitive gymnasts compete in several meets around the Pacific Northwest, including State Championships!

Compulsory Girls Team
Riverside Compulsory Girls Team is part of our competitive team program. In compulsory gymnastics, Level 2-5 gymnasts must learn specific routines exactly as they have been created by USA Gymnastics, the governing body of our sport.
All of the skills in compulsory gymnastics are progressive with the goal that the gymnast have a strong gymnastics foundation before advancing to the optional levels.
Participation is by INVITATION ONLY.
Optional Girls Team
Riverside Optional Girls Team, Level 6-10, is part of our competitive team program. Optional gymnastics follows the levels and guidelines of the governing body of our sport.
After successfully advancing through the Compulsory levels, Optional level gymnasts are given the freedom to create their own routines built around set guidelines and level requirements set by USAG. Each gymnast competes individual routines to showcase personal strengths, personality, and style.

Xcel Girls Team
Riverside Xcel Girls Team, Levels Gold and Platinum, is part of our competitive team program. Xcel gymnastics follows the levels and guidelines of the governing body of our sport.
The Xcel program is an alternative competitive program offering individual flexibility to coaches and gymnasts. Xcel allows a wide choice in skills to meet requirements so selection may be based on an individual athlete’s strenghts.
